2025 Innovations in Countermeasures and Toxicology Research Conference Abstracts

The 2025 Innovations in Countermeasures and Toxicology Research (ICTR) Conference will be held June 9-11, 2025 in Chicago, IL, hosted by Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Meeting Chairs: Kurt Lu, MD, Robert Lavker, PhD, Stephanie Rangel, PhD, and Nathan Gianneschi, PhD)

Join us for a cooperative and collaborative conference among colleagues and subject matter experts from the forefront of medical countermeasure (MCM) discovery and development. Research scientists and product developers across disciplines of biology, chemistry, clinical and translational medicine, and drug development interested in developing therapeutics that can treat the toxic clinical signs and symptoms after exposure to hazardous materials are welcome. Toxidromes of interest include adverse effects on the eyes, skin, lungs, nervous system, and respiratory drive. 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
To submit an abstract to the 2025 Innovations in Countermeasures and Toxicology Research (ICTR) Conference, you must apply on this online submission system. The deadline for abstract submission is 3/15/2025. You will be required to provide your abstract details, including title, authors, affiliations, and the full abstract text, adhering to the character limit specified, and submit by the deadline. All abstracts must be submitted electronically. There is no processing fee. Please ensure your abstract is not previously published or presented at another meeting before the 2025 Innovations in Countermeasures and Toxicology Research Conference. TRAINEE TRAVEL AWARDS
We are offering travel awards for trainees at all levels and postdocs from underrepresented backgrounds in medicine and science (race/ethnicity, LGBTQAI+, disadvantaged backgrounds, people with disabilities). These travel awards will be used to offset costs associated with attending the 2025 Innovations in Countermeasures and Toxicology Research Conference from June 9th-June 11th, 2025 in Chicago, IL. Our working definition of a URM is someone whose racial or ethnic makeup is from one of the following: African American / Black, Asian: Filipino, Hmong, or Vietnamese, Hispanic / Latinx,  Native American / Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian / Other Pacific Islander, or two or more races when one or more are from the preceding racial and ethnic categories in this list.
